Bright sun, clear sky, and rain coming down anyway. Korean has a word ready for it: 여우비, yeoubi — fox rain.
The old people had an explanation too. The tiger is getting married today, they would say, and laugh.
Sun and rain at the same time was odd enough to want a story, and the story they landed on was a wedding. Somebody else's. A noisy one, going on just out of sight.
It came down on the way back from the market this afternoon with the sun full on the road. Nobody put an umbrella up.
