온새미로, onsaemiro: as the thing was made in the first place, not cut and not split.

The dictionary headword is actually 온새미 — the state of a thing undivided and unsplit. 온새미로 is that plus a particle, and in practice almost nobody says the root on its own. The word only turns up going somewhere.

It is said of a log not yet sawn, a field not yet divided up, a face with nothing on it.

We are nearly always improving something. Leaving a thing onsaemiro is the other option, and it is a decision as much as the first one is.

The path behind the house has never been surfaced. Every year somebody proposes it.
